Booking terms

How booking with us works

These terms cover what happens when you book a stay on this website, what the price means, how you pay and how you cancel. They are written plainly because they describe real steps, not a process nobody follows.

How a booking is made

Live prices and online booking are for signed-in customers. When you book, we check the price with the hotel again; if it has changed we tell you and nothing is booked.

You then pay on our payment provider's secure page. Your card is first only authorised: the amount is held, not taken. We book the room, and only once the hotel or supplier has confirmed it is the amount taken. If the room cannot be booked, the hold is released and nothing is charged. Your confirmation and voucher are emailed to you and kept under My trips.

Occasionally a hotel's answer is delayed. Your payment then stays held, not taken, while our team confirms the stay, and we email you. Please do not book again in the meantime.

Prices

Prices shown for specific dates come live from our hotel partners and can change or sell out at any time. We check the price again when you book; if it has moved, we tell you before anything is booked or charged, and you decide.

Where we cannot show a live price, we show a guide band instead and label it as one. A guide band is an indication of what the hotel usually costs, not a quote.

Totals are for the whole stay, for the party you entered, in the currency shown. Charges the hotel collects on arrival — tourism fees, municipality fees, deposits — are listed separately where the supplier tells us about them, because they are not part of what you pay us.

Children

Hotels price children by age, and some rates do not accept them at all. We ask for each child's age at check-in and never estimate one. An age given wrongly can invalidate the price and, occasionally, the booking itself.

Rooms

This website books one room at a time. If you need more than one, ask us and a specialist will price the additional rooms with you, because multi-room rates are frequently different from one room multiplied.

Cancellation and changes

Cancellation terms belong to the hotel and the rate you choose, not to us. They are shown on the room before you book it and printed on your voucher. A rate marked non-refundable is exactly that.

You can cancel a booking yourself under My trips until your check-in day. Before you confirm, we show what cancelling costs that day under the hotel's terms and what is refunded; the refund goes back to the card you paid with. From the check-in day, or to change a stay, call or message us and we will tell you what it costs before anything is done. Where a charge applies, it is the charge the hotel or supplier reports to us.

What we book on your behalf

We act as an agent. The stay itself is provided by the hotel, and their own terms of stay apply while you are there. Your voucher names the supplier the booking was made through and carries the reference the hotel will recognise.

Travel insurance is not included and is not sold on this website. We strongly recommend you hold it.

Getting hold of us

A specialist in Dubai answers every message personally, usually the same working day. If something is wrong with a booking, call us rather than waiting — a problem is nearly always cheaper to fix before you travel.

How we handle the information you send is set out in our privacy notice.
